Even with his departure from G-Worldwide, the launch of his own record label, and his subsequent name change, Kizz Daniel still hasn’t missed a beat. A few weeks ago, following a year filled with hits, he announced the release of his 20-track sophomore album, No Bad Songz.
With the excitement for this upcoming LP still mounting, the afropop star has now given his fans an extra reason to be hyped, as he recently teased an upcoming collaboration with Major Lazer and Kranium.
This is the peak time for international collaborations with Nigerian musicians, as there are more eyes looking in now than ever before. And given that Kizz Daniel is one of our most talented artists, it makes sense that he’s the next in line for some global recognition.
Since he headlined Gidi Fest last year, Grammy-nominated producer, Diplo has shown a vested interest in Nigerian artists. Major Lazer (a group he’s a part of) has since collaborated with afropop stars, such as Mr Eazi on “Live My Life”; as well as Ice Prince and Patoranking on “Particula”.
As for reggae superstar, Kranium, he’s no stranger to collaborating with Nigerian artists as well, as he gave us “Can’t Believe” featuring Wizkid & Ty Dolla $ign. We’re definitely looking forward to hearing this Major Lazer track, and seeing how Kizz Daniel delivers on it.
