The Nigeria Police Force has detained one Mrs Nene Fortune Stephens over the death of her house maid, Miss Joy Okom Adole.
The lifeless body of Joy was found hung to the ceiling in the apartment of her boss, Mrs Nene Stephens.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Monday April 20, 2020 in Gbagada area of Lagos State.
According to Mr John, the brother of the deceased, he said that late Joy suffered physical and emotional abuse from her boss Mrs Nene.
He said, “Mrs Nene beat Joy throughout sunday night and called the agent to come pick her which the agent pleaded with her to wait till Monday morning, only for us to arrived her house on monday morning to find my sister dead”.The brother lamented.
Mrs Nene has since been arrested and detained in Panti, Police Station in Lagos.
Autopsy is currently ongoing to ascertain the cause of Joy’s death.
However, Mr John alleges that Joy’s boss, Mrs Nene has been making some moves to get herself released from the Police custody .
